Looking for the Easiest Way to Remove the
"Ukash Virus?"
- January 3, 2012 by Melinda      *View Comments*

Don't make the same mistakes I did!  I wasted several days battling this nasty malware - trying manual removal and several different removal tools, none of which worked. I was beyond frustrated. Then a computer friend of mine told me to boot into "Safe Mode with Networking" and use SpyHunter to remove the Ukash Virus. I did and literally within minutes I was rid of it for good. Because of my experience I decided to put up this website to help others avoid the same frustration & struggles that I went through.

The Danger of Being Infected with the Ukash Virus...

The Ukash Virus is what is known as rogue spyware or ransomware which means it claims to be legitimate but it is actually spyware itself. It attempts to scare you into paying a bogus fine through Ukash and/or Paysafecard by hijacking your computer and bombarding it with fake police warnings, but the entire process is just an elaborate hoax.  However, the larger threat that the Ukash Virus poses is that hackers use it to try to gain access to your sensitive information i.e. passwords, account numbers, credit cards, etc. because it can log keystrokes & internet activity - which can ultimately lead to identity theft.

Additional Ukash Virus Information & FAQ:

1. Why can't I remove the Ukash Virus myself?

The Ukash Virus is an extremely complex spyware infection. It places a large number of random files and registry entries on your computer. Because there are also legitimate Windows files that are random strings of numbers and letters, knowing which files to delete is near impossible (I know because I tried!) and if you delete a legitimate file that your computer needs this could lead to further problems, including causing your computer to become inoperable.

Ukash Virus also has the ability to recreate itself - meaning that unless all traces are removed entirely, it will simply reinstall itself each and every time you reboot your computer.

2. Why use SpyHunter?

Out of all the different tools I tried, SpyHunter was the only one that completely removed the Ukash Virus from my computer. This is because, as I came to find out, SpyHunter uses advanced technologies that no other spyware removal software uses to detect and remove even the most intelligent and complex threats, such as the Ukash Virus.

Also, just like me the reason we got infected with the Ukash Virus was because we didn't have adequate protection to block it. SpyHunter's real time protection is known to be one of the best available at stopping attacks and infections before they can install on your computer.

SpyHunter has also won numerous industry awards and has several press mentions, including:

3. How Do I Make Sure I Don't Get Infected with the Ukash Virus or any other rogue again?

There are several things you can do to help keep your computer clean of malware and rogue spyware like the Ukash Virus:

  • Avoid questionable websites that contain pornography or gambling
  • Avoid the use of torrent software and torrent websites i.e. Kazaa or Limewire
  • Never open email attachments from anybody you don't know

All of this being said, if you make sure you have antispyware software running on your computer that uses aggressive real-time protection methods to detect and block threats before they infect your computer (i.e. SpyHunter) then the chance of you getting infected again, regardless of your activities, decreases exponentially.
