Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why can't I remove Security Shield
myself?
Security Shield is an
extremely complex spyware infection. It places a large number of
random files and registry entries on your computer. Because there are
also legitimate Windows files that are random strings of numbers and letters,
knowing which files to delete is near impossible (I know because I
tried!) and if you delete a legitimate file that your computer needs this
could lead to further problems, including causing your computer to
become inoperable.
Security Shield also has the ability to recreate itself - meaning that unless
all traces are removed entirely, it will simply reinstall itself each and every
time you reboot your computer.
2.
Why use Spyware Doctor?
Out of all the different tools I
tried, Spyware Doctor was the only one that completely removed Security
Shield from my computer. This is because, as I came to find out,
Spyware Doctor uses advanced technologies that no other spyware removal
software uses to detect and remove even the most intelligent and complex
threats, such as Security Shield.
Also, just like me the
reason we got infected with Security Shield was because we didn't
have adequate protection to block it. Spyware Doctor's real time
protection is known to be one of the best available at stopping attacks and
infections before they can install on your computer.
Spyware Doctor has also won over
100 industry awards, including:

3. How Do I Make Sure I Don't Get Infected with Security Shield or any other rogue
again?
There are several things you can do to help
keep your computer clean of malware and rogue spyware like Security
Shield:
-
Avoid questionable websites that contain
pornography or gambling
-
Avoid the use of torrent software and torrent
websites i.e. Kazaa or Limewire
-
Never open email attachments from anybody you
don't know
All of this being said, if you make sure you
have antispyware software running on your computer that uses aggressive real-time
protection methods to detect and block threats before they get a chance to infect
your computer (i.e. Spyware Doctor) then the chance of you getting infected again,
regardless of your activities, decreases exponentially.
